Learn more about the history of the development of this natural wonder. The authentic records by a priest from Yaiza, who documented the volcanic eruptions in the 18th Century, provide a deeper understanding of how people’s lives were determined by this force of nature. We were picked up first by the coach and it was another 2 hours before we started our tour due to picking up from numerous other locations…the trip consists of 3 attractions - camel rides, visitor centre of the nature reserve followed by a coach ride around the volcanoes and lava field ( by far the highlight but not for the faint- hearted on a coach squeezing round tight corners with high drops at the side!), and finally a visit to a vineyard. We were then last off the bus after another hour and more dropping off at other hotels. Enjoyed the attractions but no real time for anything to eat so make sure you take something with you.

The excursion was very good. They adapt very well to the clients to pick them up and return them to the places where they have been picked up. In our case, Ana was the guide and Paco the bus driver, two great professionals who could tell they knew what they were doing.

We booked the half day tour as we only wanted to see the southern part of the island on a tour but due to a lack of numbers owing to the pandemic we were combined with the full day tour. This meant that we had a lunch stop but after the visit to the winery we returned to our hotels with the full day tour completing the remainder of their tour. The communication before the tour was excellent and the tour itself was great, as we expected. Definitely worth the money.
