Full description

Hike Caminito del Rey, a suspended walkway surrounded by a scenic landscape, with a guide on a trip from Málaga. Along the route, learn the real story behind the construction of this great work of engineering.

Hop aboard a bus from Málaga and travel to Ardales. Receive a safety briefing from your guide and strap on your helmets. Start the one-way hike of Caminito del Rey at the North access and make your way to the South access.

Pass by mountains that emerged millions of years ago and vertical canyons born by the force of the Guadalhorce River. Listen to stories of adventurers and climbers. Hear about the visit of one of the most powerful men in the history of Spain, King Alfonso XIII. The trail has a length of 4.8 miles (7.7 kilometers) but is a simple walk, especially with your guide keeping you company. At the end of the trail, return to your bus and be driven back to Málaga.

This is a must do experience - the route is really easy, but the views you get are magical! We had IAN as our tour guide and all I can say is that we were really happy he was the one who gave us the tour. He introduced us with the history of Caminito del Ray, told us a bit about mountains , the nature and living creatures surrounding the area - he is an excellent storyteller, I was not bored even for a second and I learned so much! :) The bus went off on time from the place it was scheduled, water bottles were provided and both guides were welcoming and responsive.

I'm nut usually a big fan of guided tours, but we had a great time on this one - Ian (or maybe Iain?) was a great host, very funny and informative. perhaps in the winter it might be a good idea to start the tour just a bit earlier, so it's not as cold at the start. Either way, I recommend this tour to anyone who wants to see the caminito.

Very good organization, they were contacted beforehand to confirm attendance. It is very easy to find the point where the bus is taken, everything was on time to leave at the agreed time. The guide Chemi was great, always aware of all the people in the group, explaining in Spanish and English for a good understanding of all and he let us have a good rhythm on the walk. The experience was great.
