Full description

Take a guided hike along the spectacular suspended walkway of the Caminito del Rey on this adventurous day trip from Málaga. Along the way, learn about the history of this former maintenance route that connected the river to the dam and walk the newly restored path of this unique site.

Hop aboard a bus from Málaga and travel to the town of Ardales, where the pathway begins. Receive a safety briefing from your guide and strap on your helmets, ready for this elevated expedition.

This easy one-way hike takes you from north to south on a 3-kilometer journey through nature. Pass by mountains that formed millions of years ago and work your way through the deep canyons born from the force of the Guadalhorce River. Be stopped in your tracks by the stunning views.

Listen to stories of adventurers and climbers who explored the old trail that connected the river to the dam and hear about the visit of one of the most powerful men in the history of Spain, King Alfonso XIII, who officially opened El Caminito del Rey ("The King's Path") in 1921.

After completing this famed journey with your fellow adventurers, return to your bus for a relaxing ride back to the starting point in Málaga.

The tour was flawless from start to finish. The meeting point was very easy to find and you are very well instructed by the guides. So the bus leaves on time. The guided tour itself of the Caminito del Rey was wonderful. Above all, the exciting background information from our guide Luiz and he gives everyone enough time to take a few nice photos. All in all a nice tour and highly recommended - if you are in Malaga you should not miss the Caminito del Rey!

Highly recommended! Very nice to see it. Take lots of pictures! Guide was good and interesting. Tips: - Take enough food and drink with you. 1 bottle of water (included) is definitely not enough in the heat. (In July) - Put your mobile in a case with a cord attached, this is a safer feeling. There is a chance that your mobile will fall out of your hands. - Not really recommended for people with a fear of heights. I have it myself and it was very high. But I'm only there once so just go for it despite crying and fear.

An unreal experience. Louis was our tour guide and he was brilliant - very informative and knowledgeable but also a really good laugh. Very welcoming and friendly from the get go. It was about an hours drive to the location for the day but the drive was good. Bus had air conditioning which was great. Scenic views on the journey too. The bottle of water they provide is only 50cl so make sure to make more with you as you'll need it!! Very warm along the walk but Louis made plenty of stops in the shade to ensure we were cool and keeping hydrated. A great day. Would 100% recommend and do it again tomorrow!!
