Oxford We begin our day travelling across the Chiltern Hills to Oxford, the 'City of Dreaming Spires,' whose hushed courtyards have inspired generations of scholars including Bill Clinton and writers, Lewis Carroll who wrote 'Alice in Wonderland', C.S. Lewis who wrote 'Chronicles of Narnia' and the immortal J.R.R. Tolkien, author of 'Lord of the Rings'. On the walking tour you'll visit Christ Church college, where Harry Potter scenes were filmed, see the Bodleian Library and the picture-perfect college courtyards for which Oxford is justifiably famous. Cambridge Cambridge is a wonderful mixture of the everyday and the extraordinary, a living city that has shaped history and today reflects the best of historic and contemporary life. It was the inspiration for Charles Darwin, Isaac Newton and many of the Monty Python gang. We will have a guided tour of the magnificent chapel of Kings College, founded in 1441, and a fascinating walking tour of a city filled with beautiful buildings and historical quirks, including the famous 'Bridge of Sighs'.

The tour begins in the captivating college town of Oxford. Here you can follow in the footsteps of Oxford University’s prestigious former students - from C.S Lewis to Bill Clinton - as you stroll the courtyards and cobbled lanes of this historic town. Marvel at the famous “dreaming spires” and visit the Bodleian Library - one of the oldest libraries in Europe. While you are in Oxford you cannot miss the opportunity to visit Christ Church. Not only is it one of the largest colleges at the university, it is also one of the major locations from the Harry Potter films. Marvel at the grandeur of the Great Hall, instantly recognizable to movie fans as Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. The tour then moves onto the elegant city of Cambridge. Home to the famous University of Cambridge, you will have the opportunity to explore the renowned Cavendish Laboratory, King’s College Chapel and the Cambridge University Library. You can also visit the oldest college that still exists - Peterhouse - which dates back to 1284. The tour will finish at approximately 19:00 in London.

Explore the story of Pink Floyd on a full-day tour of London and Cambridge, traveling in small groups for a more intimate exeperience. The legendary group’s roots can be traced back to the medieval city of Cambridge, one of the UK’s prettiest towns. Walk among the dreamy spires of its pastoral environs, and learn about the impact the city had on Pink Floyd’s music. Your guide will take you through song titles and lyrics from tracks such as “Granchester Meadows,” “Bike,” “High Hopes” and “The Wall” as you visit the family homes of Barratt, Gilmour and Waters. See where the boys went to school and hung out in city center pubs, cafés and music stores. Enjoy some free time to explore on your own, and watch the punters on the River Cam. Go to historic Kings College, and walk in the footsteps of famous men at Silver Street Bridge. Return to London to discover the famous “Ally Pally” hill-top venue of the legendary “14-Hour Technicolour Dream.” Enjoy panoramic views of London, and go to the only London house where the original band members lived together as students. The tour also takes in early rehearsal rooms, Pink Floyd’s own Britannia Road Studios, and the legendary studios at Abbey Road, where they recorded their greatest albums. A number of other Central London locations will be included, depending on traffic. No Pink Floyd tour would be complete without seeing Battersea Power Station, site of the most iconic Floyd album cover of all time.

This trip to Cambridge includes a guided sightseeing tour with a local guide, and allows for plenty of free time to immerse yourself in the history of this city.  You will be spoiled for choice during your time there. Choose between exploring the many colleges, walking along the River Cam, or, for a real treat, hire a punt and explore the river yourself.  Alternately, make a visit to the Trinity College Library, designed by Christopher Wren, which has Newton’s "Principia Mathematica" on permanent display. You'll also find on display a manuscript of the much-loved "Winnie the Pooh", written by A.A Milne. His son Christopher Robin also studied at the college.

Learn why Greenwich is also a hugely popular TV and film location. Netflix filmed scenes from "The Crown" and "Bridgerton" here. Greenwich is also featured in the films "Les Miserables," "Pirates of the Caribbean", and "Thor: The Dark World." Finish your guided walk at the Cutty Sark. Enjoy free time to discover the many culinary options at Greenwich Market, also famous for its arts and crafts. Set off to Cambridge, home to the second oldest university in the English-speaking world. Take a guided tour and discover why people like Sir Isaac Newton and Stephen Hawking have made Cambridge famous for its contributions to mathematics and science. Select the additional option to enjoy a 45-minute Punting boat tour on the River Cam.

Depart from Brighton and set off on a student-friendly full-day tour to Cambridge. Arrive in the city center and embark on a 1-hour guided walking tour which will help you orientate yourself in the historic cobbled streets. During the tour, admire some of the finest university buildings plus many of the famous museums and churches in the city. See the River Cam and witness people punting along the river. Also take a look at other sights including the graduation building called Senate House and, on Saturdays, a bustling outdoor market. After the walking tour, enjoy between 3 and 4 hours of free time to spend as you wish. Sit down for a tasty lunch at one of the many local cafes or restaurants or simply go shopping for souvenirs and gifts. Pop into The Eagle pub where the DNA code was announced. Go inside some of the University Colleges and admire the interior architecture and famous courtyards (entrance costs may apply. Alternatively, take the opportunity to visit one of the many free museums including the spectacular Fitzwilliam Museum. For a real local experience, try your hand at punting along the River Cam. At the end of the tour, board the bus and return back to Brighton where your memorable day trip finishes.
