The tour was very interesting, although we had picked the hottest day of the year to do it and sat on the top open deck. Its worth checking where the bust stops are first as we took a Taxi into town only to find that the bus stopped about 50 yards from our Hotel so we could have got on there and save the taxi fare. Just beware that if you book online via GetYourGuide you must print the ticket as the buses cannot accept mobile phone emails. We didn't realise this until we caught the bus. Luckily for us the bus driver allowed us on but a more officious operative could have insisted on a printed ticket. Better warnings are required on the website as it is very much in the small print and several people catching the bus had a similar problem. A great tour though revealing lots of facts about Cambridge.

    Excellent experience for the money

My mom visited me from the States and we decided to do some "touristy" things. This was an excellent way to get around! We took advantage of the student and senior discounts and went to multiple places, saw lots of museums and sites, stepped off to get some lunch and when we were tired (she has a bad back and can only go for so long) we hopped off near my house and walked home. The drivers were good too! No swerving or harsh stops - was a really nice day out. I recommend booking through this site as well, we got our tickets cheaper than buying them somewhere else.

A good way to get your bearings around the city.

It was easy to obtain the tickets online and to download the app. The only fly in the ointment was that the buses did not yet have a QR code reader and so the driver was confused how to deal with the lack of a paper ticket receipt. Many visitors coming to use the tour will have a phone but no printer so that is a bit of a disadvantage. Our driver took the receipt number and reckoned he could sort it out later.
