Begin with an early pickup from your hotel at 4.30 AM in an air-conditioned vehicle, and travel to the main entrance of the Angkor Wat to admire the stunning sunrise over this ancient and mysterious complex. Next, visit the South Gate of Angkor Thom to marvel at the Bayon and Baphoun temples with their 54 towers and 216 faces of Buddhisatva Avalokesvara. Listen as your guide explains historical facts about the Temples and the Khmer empire. After lunch, see the Terrace of the Elephant and the Terrace of the Leper King known as the royal viewing platform and the stage of the king’s great audience hall. Enter Ta Prohm Temple and view the lush trees surrounding the temple’s stones. Finally, go to Banteay Kdei temple which was built by the King Jayavarman VII in the late of 12th century before returning to your hotel in Siem Reap.

Go aboard our minivan to the great Tonle Sap Lake (the biggest fresh water lake in South-east Asia) and gain fascinating insight into true Cambodian life. Be picked up from a Siem Reap hotel and be brought to the pier. Take a private boat to the floating village, located outside Siem Reap. Discover the tall, stilted houses, floating hospital, fishery, old lifestyle of the country and the natural landscape of the flooded Mangrove Forest. Enjoy an optional tour going through the flooded Mangroves forest on a small boat, a great break on the way to Tonle Sap to experience local fauna and flora. End the day by admiring the sunset over the lake.

Day 1 – Full Day Banteay Srei Temples and Grand Circuit Temple   Start your 2 days with pick-up from your hotel around 8:00 AM, you’ll head off to visit the most interesting temples outside Angkor Thom city. Your first stop is Pre Rup Hindu Temple, built in 961 or 962, which combines laterite and sandstone construction. Then, drive to the intricately carved and well-preserved Banteay Srei – the detailed reliefs on this smaller sandstone structure are regarded as the finest and most skilfully crafted in Cambodia.   On the return journey, visit Neak Pean, a Buddhist temple on a circular artificial island within Jayatataka Baray, then continue to Preah Khan temple, a ruined but highly atmospheric mélange of tree roots and crumbling stone structures. Construction was commissioned by the prolific temple builder Jayavarman VII in honor of his father and a visit to this smaller site makes for an interesting contrast with the more imposing Angkor Wat. Preah Khan is currently being restored by the World Monument Fund and in places is in remarkably good condition. In the late afternoon, you’ll return to Siem Reap after a memorable day of exploration. Day 2 – Temples of Angkor with Sunrise   Spend your day temple-hopping with your local guide to make the most of your visit to the world-famous Angkor complex, a site full of temples built between the 19th and 13th centuries. Begin with pre-dawn departure (between 4:15 and 4:40 AM) from your hotel to catch the sunrise outside of Angkor Wat. Then, explore the interior of the great temple, spending a thorough 2 hours discovering its corridors, central chambers, and upper terraces. Your expert guide will decipher the myriad of stories behind the bas-relief carvings and give you insight into life during the height of the Khmer Empire. End your visit to Angkor with breakfast just outside the temple.   Continue the morning with a visit to the Southern Gate of Angkor Thom, flanked by a row of 54 stone figures on each side – gods to the left and demons to the right – and the fortified city of Angkor Thom. See its beautifully crafted central towers, covered in more than 200 enormous faces, before exploring the famous central terrace of the Leper King and the Terrace of Elephants. Finish your day with a visit to the temple Ta Prohm, once home to almost 3,000 monks. Return to your hotel at approximately 1:30 PM.  

Choose between a morning or afternoon 4.5-hour of the Killing Fields and the Security Prison S21. Start with a ride to the Genocide Museum (also known as Prison S21). The prison comprises 4 buildings with exhibitions in several rooms. Prison survivors are sometimes present to talk to visitors and share their experiences. After an hour and 15 minutes at the museum, meet the tour assistant at the main entrance to continue the tour. During a 30-40-minute drive to the Killing Fields, watch a documentary on the Khmer Rouge regime. There will be around 1 hour and 15 minutes to explore the site. Audio guide is available in 15 languages along with a map of the fields.

Discover the floating village of Kampong Phluk, just a 45-minute drive from Siem Reap. Relax on a trip through authentic Cambodia, past markets in the small town of Roluos.  Enter a sustainable and self-sufficient community that has thrived since the civil war ended. The distinctive houses set among beautiful mangrove trees are raised on stilts reaching up to 9 meters high. In the wet season (May to Feb ), see the locals and able travel by boat to see school, work, and the pagoda as you explore the same way with your small group. On arrival, you will be introduced to a stunning Hindu and Buddhist church, covered in colorful murals that illustrate how the religions coexist in Cambodia. In the dry season, before the water level rises, there's an opportunity to walk along the main street to see local people's daily lives and the creation of new houses. They are content with their way of life and happy to see foreigners because tourism is an important part of the local economy. The majority of the 1,000 families are fishermen and farmers. The children in particular are friendly and inquisitive. Enjoy multiple restroom stops and chilled water that is provided throughout the tour. After making your way through the village, head out to the mighty Tonle Sap lake, where a riverboat will take you to the floating restaurant with delicious food and some exotic options. Chill out on the lake and watch an inspirational sunset that glows, a memory that you'll never forget. After sundown, together retrace your path from throughout the afternoon, and the minibus driver will take your group back to the city, with drop-off at your accommodation.

Day 1. MY THO - BEN TRE - CAN THO Around 7:45am. Get picked up at your centrally located hotels in Ho Chi Minh City and head to the Mekong Delta by bus. Your onboard tour guide will tell you everything about the culture of the locals while you can sit back, relax and enjoy the landscapes and scenery of green rice fields. Stop at the Vinh Trang pagoda on the way. Continue to My Tho and take a boat trip along the Mekong River where you can escape the busy town. Enjoy a sampan ride through the coconut trees-lined canals. Disembark and explore the village on foot. Visit local families where you can enjoy fruits, honey tea and wine while listening to traditional music performed by the villagers. Enjoy a traditional lunch. In the afternoon, travel to Can Tho, the heart of the Mekong Delta. Stay overnight in the hotel. Free time to explore the city at night. ------------ Day 2: CAI RANG FLOATING MARKET - HO CHI MINH CITY Start early to visit the famous Cai Rang Floating Market. The market is most vibrant in the early hours of the morning. Witness the hustle and bustle of boats selling fruits, vegetables, and various local products. During your boat tour, make a pit stop at one of the boats selling vermicelli and coffee. You can choose to buy and enjoy these local delicacies while soaking in the unique atmosphere of the market. Continue your boat tour to visit a Rice Noodle Factory. Here, you can witness the traditional process of making rice noodles. We'll also take some time to explore a bustling local market, where colorful stalls are brimming with fresh produce, spices, and vegetables. Around 9:00AM to 9:30AM: Return to your hotel for check-out, enjoy breakfast and freshening up after the morning's activities. After that, begin your journey back to Ho Chi Minh City. En route, make a stop at the 10 Vo ancient house. Explore this historic Vietnamese house, learn about its architectural details, and gain insights into local traditions and customs. Try your hand at making traditional Vietnamese pancakes, known as "bánh xèo." This hands-on experience will give you a taste of the local culture. Enjoy a delicious local lunch. If you have the energy, take a leisurely bike ride around the area, exploring the picturesque surroundings and interacting with the local community. After that, make your way back to Ho Chi Minh City. Arrive approximately at 4:00pm.

Follow the footsteps of holy Hindu men, Buddhist rulers, and Khmer kings on a guided day trip from Siem Reap to see the highlights of the UNESCO-listed Angkor Archaeological Park. You will need a temple pass (1 or 3 days), which you can purchase online or have your guide take you to the ticket office before the tour begins. With occasional food and rest breaks, visit Angkor Wat, Angkor Thom, Bayon Temple, and Tah Prohm. Walk around and inside each temple, with information from your guide, so you will understand what you see. After your entry fee, it only makes sense to pay a little more for a registered guide, so that you're not simply looking at the stones. Get a feel for the 12th-century Khmer empire and stand amongst the magnificent monuments of Angkor Wat, the largest religious structure in the world; educate yourself in a most enjoyable way. Admire the stone figures that greet you at the southern gates of Angkor Thom and stroll towards the Bayon Temple to see the etchings of smiling faces at its central peak. Visit the Terrace of the Leper King and the Terrace of the Elephants. At Tah Prohm, soak up the atmospheric combination of trees growing out of the ruins and the jungle surroundings. After a full day of exploring Angkor's highlights, climb the steps to the temple mountain of Phnom Bakheng, the state temple of the first Khmer capital in the region, to watch the sunset. Then, make the return journey to Siem Reap and be dropped off at your hotel.

Start with hotel pick-up or go to the meeting point to board your vehicle, a shared air-conditioned mini-bus with a tour guide, or private vehicle (with optional guide), according to the option chosen. Kompong Phluk is 30 kilometers south-east of Siem Reap. Visit the pagoda or local market first, then go by motorized boat on a tour of the stilted buildings. See where the people have courageously adapted to some of the most unimaginable conditions, all with a big smile on their faces.
