Calpe: Sunset Cruise with Sparkling Wine

I could summarise the sunset sailing on a catamaran in 2 words - simply outstanding. It was a lovely warm evening sat on the comfortable cargo nets at the bow of the catamaran on a packed sailing. However, there was ample space for everyone. Other than the gentle tinkle of water underneath us, all we could hear were the cameras clicking, laughter, excited chatter, and couples toasting each other with complimentary Cava. Our sailing of 90 minutes down to the marina adjacent to Playa Mascarat (near Altea) was actually a little bit longer, so we had even greater value for money. Possibly one of my best trips in Spain, but certainly the very best for price and it made my wife's birthday very special. Would I recommend it? Absolutely. Would I make the trip again? Definitely, we are already planning to do the sailing again. Wonderful experience. Thank you.

The evening was beautiful and the route taken by the boat was spot on. Downside, they crammed far too many people on the boat with less than half being able to find comfortable seating. The guide told us absolutely nothing about the area, views, or local history. Even a brief pre-recorded multilingual guide would have been nice. The captain and photographer were pleasant and the tiny paper up of cava was as expected. I did notice that they offered juice or water to those not drinking alcohol, which was a nice touch. I would recommend a boat trip at sunset, but be prepared to be underwhelmed by the boat and the onboard comforts.
