Things to do in Cali

We had an incredible experience on this tour, and it truly exceeded our expectations! From start to finish, our guide Andrés was phenomenal—knowledgeable, enthusiastic, and deeply connected to the local communities. His passion for the culture and history of Cali was infectious, and he brought such rich context to every stop we made. The tour provided a broad and insightful overview of Cali’s diverse cultures, especially highlighting the vibrant contributions of Black and Indigenous communities. One of the highlights for me was the stunning murals and street art, which powerfully conveyed stories of resilience, identity, and heritage. We also visited a few Black-owned businesses, which gave the tour a meaningful, community-focused dimension. The mini salsa class was a fun and energizing touch—it wouldn’t be a Cali experience without some dancing! But my absolute favorite part was learning about the history of the Afro-descendant population and its deep African roots.
