After departing from Calgary, your first stop will be at Horseshoe Canyon, with the stunning views of the valley. Continue to the Hoodoos, where you will hop off the vehicle to enjoy views of these unique sandstone formations. Walk amongst these imposing structures.  Next, visit the Atlas Coal Mine. Designated a National Historic Site of Canada in 2002, you ride an antique train and explore the mine on the underground tour. Stop for lunch at the old East Coulee School Museum for some great food and some rest before continuing the journey.  Visit the Royal Tyrrell Museum, Canada’s only museum dedicated exclusively to the science of palaeontology. Housing a collection of over 130,000 fossils, see mounted dinosaur skeletons including the T-Rex, Stegosaurus, and Triceratops. Look into the "Preparation Lab", where you can watch technicians prepare fossils for research and exhibition.
