Every day we depart from the port of Cala Gonone at 9:00 am or 10:30 am for a beautiful dinghy excursion in the Gulf of Orosei.(12 people onthe boat). Our advice is to opt for the earliest departure so as to minimize the time of boarding and leaving the port, which is less busy at 9 am. The Captains, experienced guides who will give you a detailed and interesting explanation during the sailing, will take you to the most beautiful and picturesque beaches (you will see them all) : Cala Luna , Cala Sisine, Cala Biriola, Le Piscine di Venere, Cala Mariolu, and Cala Goloritzè. (During the beach stops it will not be possible to stay on board due to organizational needs of the Captain) . Leaving port, our captains will conduct a coastal navigation to allow you to admire up close the wonders of the stretch of coastline from Cala Gonone to Cala Goloritzè. During the navigation, our dinghies will be able to get close to many of the wonderful caves and inlets along the coast, such as Grotta dei Cormorani, Grotta Azzurra, the Cathedral and the Turquoise; in some you will also be able to swim inside. This will be followed by a stop at Cala Biriola, a delightful little beach with a pinkish color and emerald-colored water, and a leisurely swim at anchor in the heavenly, crystal-clear waters of the Piscine di Venere, continuing then to the wonderful Cala Goloritzè where you will make another stop for a swim very close to the natural arch adjacent to the beach. Back on board, the captain will set course for Cala Mariolu where you will make the longest stop of the day so you can eat, rest and bathe for about 2 1/2 hours (or more, particularly with the 9:00 a.m. departure). During lunch you can use the umbrellas (each 2 people) that you can ask the captain for before disembarking. In the afternoon you will resume sailing to reach the beautiful Cala Luna, which is even more pleasant in the afternoon as it is very crowded until 2 p.m. Here guests can stop for 2 hours for a refreshing swim. Gulf of Orosei: Sailing ship tour around the coast

10. Gulf of Orosei: Sailing ship tour around the coast

The DOVESESTO is a nearly 100-year-old ancient sailing ship at anchor in the port of Cala Gonone. From here she departs daily at 10:30 a.m. for a mini-cruise in the Gulf of Orosei, exploring the coast's most beautiful beaches and caves along the "Wild Blue" route. Check-in at 10 a.m., bring your lunch. Just outside the harbor, the sailing ship will skirt the impressive limestone cliffs eroded by the sea. Its gait allows a close view of the different rock and forest scenery that follow one another, interspersed only by the many coves: Cala Luna, Cala Sisine, Cala Biriola, Le Piscine di Venere, Cala Mariolu, Cala Goloritze. Leaving Cala Luna, we arrive at Cala Sisine, after an hour of navigation. Continuing on, the first stop awaits us, Cala Biriola, a delightful, small, rose-colored beach. The sailing ship Dovesesto from the bottom anchors, so you can reach the beach by tender or by swimming to shore in the emerald water of radiant transparency. After about two hours, the boat heads for Cala Mariolu not before making a brief stop, to dive into the heavenly waters of the Piscine di Venere. It is at Cala Mariolu or Cala dei Gabbiani, two gulf pearls of indescribable beauty that our guests will enjoy the longest stop of the day. We resume navigation and arrive at the base of the Aguglia, an imposing elongated rock that stands alone from the sea, and we will admire up close the spectacular natural arch of Goloritze of the beach of the same name. Just north of the latter cove we stop to reach by dinghy the hidden mouth of a cave, only to find ourselves inside, dazzled by never-before-seen plays of light. Here the plunge is impossible to give up. Our goal is to present and show you the best way to admire our beautiful gulf from Cala Gonone to the last and wonderful beach of Cala Goloritze before Capo Monte Santo. Returning, the sailing ship sets the bow homeward, a little offshore, on the route where dolphins often come to greet us with their leaps.
