After a guided tour, enjoy lunch in Nuevo Tingo before returning to Chachapoyas. At around 05:30 PM, we will be back in Chachapoyas. End of services.

Itinerary: • We will begin our tour to the impressive pre-Inca citadel of Kuelap at 9:00 am. We will leave from the main square of Chachapoyas and drive along the breathtaking Uctubamba valley for approximately one hour until we reach the center of Nuevo Tingo. • When we arrive we continue the tour to the boarding station of Telecabinas Kuélap (Cable Car). The cable car journey takes approximately 20 minutes and provides stunning views of the gorgeous Andean landscape. When the cable car drops us off in La Malca, we will go on a 25-minute walk to the citadel of Kuelap. • Our professional tour guide will show us around the archaeological site for 3 hours and tell us all about the Chachapoyas people, the Kuelap fortress, and other known facts about the area. This is a perfect opportunity to appreciate the largest pre-Inca archeological site in South America! • When we finish our tour, we will board the cable cars again and return to the village of Tingo. • Arrival at Tingo to have lunch at a local restaurant, then back to the city of Chachapoyas, there will be a brief stop at a viewpoint, from where you can see the Archaeological Site of Macro. • After the visit, return to the city of Chachapoyas.

At 9:00 am, your journey begins. You depart from Chachapoyas heading towards the town of Cocachimba (approximately 1 hour drive). The hike commences, lasting around 2 hours and 30 minutes, leading you to the base of the second waterfall. Gocta Waterfall, standing tall at 771 meters, is one of Amazonas' natural marvels. Visiting this site allows you to forge a direct connection with nature, reveling in the beautiful surrounding landscapes. The trails are adorned with enchanting pathways, flanked by trees and illuminated by the sun's rays filtering through the leaves. After the adventure, upon returning to the village of Cocachimba, you indulge in a delightful lunch. Post this satisfying meal, your journey takes you back to Chachapoyas. The return trip begins at 4:30 pm, ensuring you reach Chachapoyas safely, concluding this memorable experience.

Only about 7 kilometers from the town are the famous Ventanillas de Otuzco, a necropolis with more than 300 tombs carved into the volcanic rock. This ancient cemetery belongs to the Caxamarca culture, which inhabited the area before the Incas and became part of the Inca Empire until the arrival of the Spanish conquistadors. We will be able to observe the window-shaped niches that give the complex its name and learn about the mysteries they hide. Did you think they were only used to bury the dead? You will discover that this is not so! The next stop on the tour will be Hacienda Tres Molinos, a traditional farm that produces dairy products such as cheese, butter or the sweet blancmange, typical of South America. We will visit the Cumbemayo aqueduct, the most important hydraulic engineering work of the pre-Columbian period. The most curious thing about this viaduct is that today water still flows along its 9 kilometers. We will tell you about its function, which is still a mystery. The Cajamarca region was sufficiently supplied with water, so in principle an aqueduct would not be necessary. So what was it for? Historians believe that the answer lies in the sanctuary, a huge rock in the shape of a human head where human sacrifices were made. In addition, next to the sanctuary we will see some caves that hide engravings in the rock whose meaning is also an enigma.
