It was a private tour for all practical reasons with me and my friend. Was easy to find the guide on a sunday. They had some choice of bikes and I picked one similar to the Uber Jump bike. The guide Pedro (?) was super nice guy, very knowledgeable and gave his personal opnions and inside scoop on things as well as the history. It is a nice ride to Belem and the bridge and the monastery. Less cultural than the alfama tour but he answered all my questions, was super friendly, hooked me up with Tapas, brought some spare raincoats incase it rained (how nice is that?) Overall, fantastic guide. The Belem tour includes the famous Pastel de Nata and is more of a relaxed ride along the water, a bit different from the Hill tours.
We chose the old town tour for 90 mins. It was fascinating from start to finish and our guide was excellent providing a running commentary along with many historical facts. I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone visiting Lisbon.
What a fantastic way to experience Lisbon and in particular the area around Belem. We learnt about the history, about the food and the people of Lisbon through the centuries. Can’t recommend it more highly!
This trip was brilliant! Anna the tour guide was so enthusiastic and knowledgable she made the trip so much fun ! Splashing into the Tagus in a bus was unforgettable- thanks Hippobus !
Thanks to Daniel (our guide) and Margarita (novice guide) for a wonderful bike trip along the shore on the Tagos river to Belem. Could not have gone better.
