Visit the Hanging Church, which dates back to the 3rd century AD. Then see the Ben Ezra Synagogue, which is, according to a local tradition, located on the site where Moses was found when he was a baby. Both the driver and the guid were friendly and I had a great time. Just dodging Cairo traffic is great entertainment in itself . We toured the ancient Christian sites and ended the tour in the Khan El Khalili Bazaar . I highly recommend having a guide while visiting the bazaar as it is huge and feels like a rabbit’s warren .

I really did see amazing things on the tour, especially loved the Old Cairo churches. The guide also took me into a mosque near the market so I could see what a mosque looked like. What still has me very angry is the tour company rescheduled the tour to a time that didn't really suit me as it made me stress about being late for another commitment later in the day, and then a 5-hour tour got rushed through in 3 hours. Then on top of it all end of tour arrives and I'm sitting in the last church with the guide Hassan, who then starts talking about tipping guides and then whinging about the tip I did give him - all while we're sitting in a church!! There are things you just don't do in places of worship. I get the tipping thing but I'm also not a cash cow with silky money to fritter away. I am travelling on a limited budget, tipping what I can and also tipping the tour driver who isn't even the guide.
