What to Expect
Tour the Pyramids of Cheops, Chephren, and Mykerinus with an Egyptologist as your guide. You’ll learn about the history of the Pharaonic period on this full-day tour, and also visit the Great Sphinx, the Valley Temple, and the Egyptian Museum in Cairo.
If your time in Cairo is limited, this is the perfect way to take in the region’s important highlights. The Great Pyramid of Giza, or the Pyramid of Cheops, is the oldest of the 7 Wonders of the Ancient World. You’ll the 3 Pyramids at Giza, the Valley Temple of Chephren, and of course the Great Sphinx.
You’ll have the unique option of going on a camel or horse ride in Giza. You can also choose to have lunch at a typical and well-known restaurant overlooking the Pyramids.
The tour continues on to the Egyptian Museum in Cairo, which houses more than 120,000 artifacts from ancient Egypt, the famous Royal Mummies Room, and the exhibit of the treasures of King Tutankhamun.
In the evening you have the option of joining a dinner cruise on a 5-star vessel, and enjoy an entertaining program of Egyptian dancing and a folkloric Tanora show. Dinner is an open buffet featuring an Egyptian and international dishes. Another option for the evening is taking in a cultural sound and light show.
