The Pharaonic Village is an experience like no other. The instant you begin sailing down the canals that crisscross the island, you will be fully immersed in the Egyptian legend. Everywhere you look, you will find more of the sights and sounds of ancient Egypt. Travel back in time to a distant and glorious past. Get picked up from your hotel in the morning and set off for a fantastic journey to Egypt as it was about 5,000 years ago. A group of actors and actresses imitate the real daily life of the ancient Egyptians, representing different industries, games, arts, and moments from this long history. Get dropped off at your hotel at the end of the trip.

The pickup was not as punctual as usual. But the journey itself went very quickly through Cairo. The driver was very friendly and tried very hard to put us in good hands on the spot. The canal cruise is really beautiful and the scenes shown were very well designed and interesting. At the end of the canal we were welcomed by a young woman who, to our chagrin, spoke no German but only English. We were guided through the small buildings and of course into various shops. She then left us with the information that we could only drive back in 3 hours. The whole tour should only take 3 hours! We then stood there alone, no idea what to do there for 3 hours... Of course we assumed that our driver would only be there again then. When we somehow wasted the time sitting around, we were able to return to the safe shore. Only the driver was missing.
