Day 1: Arrival in Cairo
On your arrival at the Cairo airport, a tour representative will meet you and then you’ll be transferred to your hotel by private air-conditioned car. Overnight in Cairo.
Day 2: Cairo
After breakfast you’ll embark on your full-day tour of Cairo, beginning with the Egyptian Museum of Antiquities, which houses a rare collection that represents 5,000 years of art and the world’s largest collection of Egyptian art. There is an exhibit dedicated to the Tutankhamen collection of treasures, gold, and jewelry, as it was found enclosed in his tomb for over 3,500 years.
Visit the Great Pyramids of Cheops, Chephren, and Mykerions, in Giza. The Cheops Pyramid is the most colossal ever built. Enjoy a close-up look at the Sphinx, which is a huge funeral complex guarded by the legendary statue that comprises the body of a lion and the face of King Chephren. Explore Khan El Khalili Bazaar, where shops offer fine brassware, copper, perfumes, leather, silver, gold, antiques, and much more.
An option available for the evening is a Nile River dinner cruise with entertainment. Overnight in Cairo.
Day 3: Luxor
After breakfast you’ll transfer to the domestic airport for the flight to Luxor. On arrival you’ll be met a local tour representative and transferred to your cruise ship. You’ll board before lunch and enjoy lunch on board.
After lunch you’ll visit the Temple of Karnak and the Temple of Luxor. Afternoon tea is included, as is dinner on board the cruise ship, accompanied by a belly-dancing show. Overnight on board in Luxor.
Day 4: Luxor to Edfu
In the morning you’ll visit the West Bank of Luxor, and see the Valley of the Kings, the Colossi of Memnon, and the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut.
Lunch will be on served once you’re back on board the ship. You’ll sail to Esna, and enjoy afternoon tea.
Options available for this day include a disco party and a hot-air balloon ride over Luxor.
Overnight on board in Edfu.
Day 5: Edfu to Kom Ombo
Visit the Temple of Horus in Edfu after breakfast. You’ll then sail to Kom Ombo, and have lunch on board the ship.
Afternoon tea is served. Enjoy dinner and a galabeya party on board. Overnight on board in Kom Ombo.
Day 6: Aswan
After breakfast, you’ll sail to Aswan, where you’ll visit the high dam, the granite quarries, and the Temple of Philae.
You’ll have lunch on board and then go for a sail on the Nile by felucca around Kitchener's Island and see the Agha Khan’s mausoleum.
Afternoon tea is served, and dinner will be on board the cruise ship. Overnight on board in Aswan.
Day 7: Aswan to Cairo
After breakfast on board you’ll disembark from the cruise ship. There is an optional trip to Abu Simbel available, to visit the colossal Temple of Abu Simbel built by Ramses II.
You’ll transfer to the Aswan airport for the flight to Cairo. On arrival in Cairo, you’ll be met by a tour representative and transferred to your hotel. Overnight in Cairo.
Day 8: Departure from Cairo
After enjoying breakfast at the hotel a tour representative will accompany you to the airport and assist you through the departure formalities.
