Your tour begins with pickup from your accommodation in Cairo and travels directly to the majestic Pyramids in an air-conditioned vehicle with your tour guide. Throughout the day you will be accompanied by a professional, private photographer who captures the most incredible photos of this once-in-a-lifetime experience in the foreground of some of the world’s most remarkable landmarks.
The first stop of the day is the Giza Plateau where you can admire the towering pyramids and soak up the history-rich atmosphere. From your guide, learn about Egyptian culture and the architecture of the pyramids before hopping on a camel for a captivating ride through the Sahara Desert. Ride your camel to the stunning Great Sphinx of Giza and marvel at this world-famous landmark that is steeped in history. After your camel ride enjoy a delicious local lunch.
After lunch, the tour continues to the Citadel of Cairo to marvel at a fascinating Islamic fortification that was constructed during the medieval era. The invincible stone structure, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, offers panoramic views across the city. Here, you can find an array of museums, old mosques and other ancient buildings within the fort. From the fort, proceed to Old Cairo and explore the ancient edifices of the city such as Coptic Church, Ben Ezra Synagogue, the Church of Abu Serga, and the Hanging Church.
Finally, visit the breathtaking Khan El-Khalili Bazaar, one of the oldest bazaars in the Middle East. Wander through the many serpentine alleyways of the bazaar and soak up the authentic atmosphere and culture of this vibrant location.
