Full description

Discover the vibrant underwater world of the Great Barrier Reef on this snorkeling trip. Stay overnight on a comfortable ship and enjoy delicious meals onboard and fresh chilled water, tea, coffee, and hot chocolate. Purchase refreshing drinks and tasty snacks at the onboard bar.

On the first day, board the transfer vessel at Cairns and head to the Outer Great Barrier Reef for the first part of your snorkeling and diving adventure. After 90 minutes, arrive at the first destination on the reef.

On the way, your talented and experienced crew will take you through a safety briefing for the boat and snorkeling. Once out on the reef, it is time to gear up and get in the water to explore the hidden wonders that make it the Great Barrier Reef. Enjoy a delicious tropical buffet with a choice of salads, cold meats, and fruit. Tea, coffee, and water are also available. After lunch, it is back to the water to explore a new reef location. In the afternoon, board your overnight accommodation and after settling in and meeting your new family, there is the chance to hit the water again.

Then take in the sunset over the Great Barrier Reef as dinner is freshly prepared and then served in the evening. Then it is time to find out what goes bump in the night on the Great Barrier Reef. Get the opportunity to see the sharks in the dark program. After the final snorkel of the day, head to the bar, trade stories, and get some rest for another big day on the reef tomorrow.  On the second day, wake up to the sunrise on the reef as you get ready for another day of exploration. Enjoy a delicious breakfast before jumping in the water for some snorkel activities. In the afternoon, there is time to relax and do your third snorkel of the day. Once again, enjoy a delicious dinner before heading out to see the sharks up close. On the final day, wake up to the sunrise over the Great Barrier Reef again. After breakfast, make the most of your final day on the reef with two morning snorkels. Then it is time to pack up and get ready to say farewell. Enjoy a delicious lunch before you are picked up and returned to Cairns.

Incredible organization. I am an expert Italian diver with over 1,000 dives. The local diving center to which we leaned is Divers Den. 5 dives a day (of course you can do even less but knowing what you find underneath you don't miss an opportunity), between daytime and afternoon dives you change the diving point. Comfortable cabins with en suite bathroom. I suggest a light sweatshirt to defend yourself from air conditioning especially because you are almost always wet. Excellent dives, excellent staff, 10 vote. Well done briefings, you can go down without a guide that in fact is paid separately ($ 15 per dive per person), but I repeat the dive is well explained. I recommend the special night dive "fluo dive" to be booked for breakfast because there are few places available.

This trip was amazing! We snorkelled at 4 different locations at Norman's reef (it seems small on the map but it offers such a variety of reef landscape) for our 2-days at the reef and saw all kinds of fish and corals, even small sharks and turtles! A few tips: If you want to maximize your stay in the water book an overnight stay because this way you get 7 dives while a 1-day trip allows for just 2 dives. If you get seasick bring some pills as even on the big boat for the night you can feel the waves a bit. The sharks that you might see are small and not dangerous at all so don't worry. The team of Divers Den was amazing, very attentive and fun! Thank you for the great time! :)

Very helpful crew and dive masters. Opportunities for other certifications and fluorescent coral night dives. They are also always willing to provide a guide (for a fee) if you want that extra security if it has been a while since your last dive. Air conditioning is brisk, but it keeps the moisture off the inside of the boat, bring some warmer clothes!
