It was lots of fun, Stu outlined the day well, was totally upfront that lunch is not huge so encouraged us to purchase snacks at the first stop, we visited the waterfalls as outlined in the tour description, we had plenty of time at each with options to swim or option to go for a walk. He had lots of stories to share and was lots of fun. He was particular with the timing of things so we weren’t late home. Lunch was a small serve of lasagne, with a few hot chips and a side of salad at a quiet hotel in Malanda. It was great to visit Millaa Millaa falls, Josephine falls and the boulders and we could swim at each. Swimmers could also swim at Lake Eacham the first stop.

Full description

Embark on a full-day trip to Atherton Tableland from Cairns and admire the lush beauty of tropical North Queensland. Visit Wooroonooran National Park, swim in Lake Eacham, and enjoy lunch in Malanda.
Your 11-hour excursion begins with a drive to the Wooroonooran National Park. Stop for a swim at Josephine Falls, which features a huge natural rock slide.

Travel across the volcanic landscape of the Atherton Tablelands. Marvel at the 18-meter-high Millaa Millaa Falls, framed by lush rainforest and tree ferns.

Enjoy lunch at The Top Rail in Malanda before heading to see a giant curtain fig tree. Try your luck at platypus spotting in Yungaburra and enjoy a last swim at Lake Eacham before the trip back to Cairns.

We had the most amazing day on this tour! Got to see so many beautiful places and our guide, Damien, was really cool and seemed very involved in the surroundings and was very informative. He made the whole experience so fun. Even the bus ride was fun with great music and Damien telling us about everything we drove past. They also had vegan option for lunch! Would really recommend this tour and the guide :))
