Join a Gorge Walk at Mossman Gorge. Learn about dreamtime legends, bush tucker sources and traditional plant use before tea and damper. Also included is a delicious Barramundi lunch, River Cruise and short tour of Port Douglas.
What to Expect
The tour itinerary is as follows:
7.00 am:
Hotel pick-ups commence from Cairns
7.45 am:
Pick-ups commence from the Cairns Beaches 

8.30 am:
Pick-ups commence from Port Douglas

9.00 am:
The Dreamtime Gorge Walk. After arriving at Mossman Gorge, you will be treated to a guided rainforest walk along private, easy-graded tracks, visiting special places and culturally significant sites, past traditional bark shelters and over cool rainforest streams.

Your experienced interpretive Indigenous guides will demonstrate traditional plant use, identify bush tucker sources, share their dreamtime legends, explain the history of cave paintings and provide an enchanting narrative of the rainforest and their special relationships within this unique tropical environment.

After your 1.5-hour walk, enjoy tea, damper and question time with your guide. 

Afterwards visit Mossman where your driver/guide will point out the highlights of Australia’s most northern sugar town.

12.00 pm:
Lunch on a speciality Barramundi lunch [alternate options available] in a beautiful oasis amidst the rainforest.

1.30 pm:
Daintree River Cruise. Enjoy a fascinating hour cruising through this wildlife environment, which is home to birds, tree snakes, unique plants and the saltwatercrocodile - a great photo opportunity. Enjoy afternoon tea after your cruise.

Afterwards discover Port Douglas. Enjoy a short tour of the historical town of Port Douglas, before making your way back to Cairns.
