We went on the early Guided Twilight Tour of The Aquarium with Dinner. The Aquarium guide, whose name unfortunately escapes me (I'm a bit old & forget names quickly), was very knowledgeable of all the exhibits but he was also just so very personable and friendly. The guide made the tour just so fascinating and was happy to answer any questions people may have asked. The dinner following the tour was in Dundees restaurant adjoining the aquarium and the food was really top class. The restaurant staff were lovely and friendly and very attentive to providing excellent service. I have toured a lot of Aquariums around the world, this Aquarium tour in Cairns I would rate as the best and friendliest without a doubt. I would certainly recommend this tour to anyone even if not a fan of fish, it was so interesting. I also observed that the tour is very disability friendly. If you are on crutches, walking stick or in a wheelchair, the tour would not be a problem.

Guided tour was very informative. Guide had an excellent sense of humour and dealt with overexcited children with respect, although I’m sure she would have wanted to say more ;). Dinner was delicious. Highly recommend regardless of how many aquariums you may have seen in the past.

It was fantastic not having to share the aquarium with lots of people, because it was an after hours tour I highly recommend this. All the ladies at the Aquarium were super friendly and helpful from the moment we walked in. Our guide Bec was the most enthusiastic, knowledgeable and passionate about the environment and you could tell how much she loved these sea creatures from her in depth explanations. We loved it so much we went back and explored the aquarium the next day to take more photos of the beautiful animals. The aquarium was impeccably clean.
