You’ll visit his favourite haunts and secret hideaways, as well as the legendary Dali Museum at Figueres and his former home near Cadaqués. Go from Barcelona to Figueres, where you’ll visit Dalí’s birthplace and the extraordinary museum dedicated to his work. Dalí wanted visitors to see his massive collection as a “whole,” so there are no catalogues and the work is not displayed in any organized manner. From Sep 1st - Jun 30th, the tour continues to the beautiful coastal village of Cadaqués, famous for its whitewashed Mediterranean houses and narrow streets. With its charming bay, it is one of the most picturesque villages on the Costa Brava. What is particularly stunning is the dramatic scenery on the drive there. For lunch, you can enjoy local seafood specialties at one of the numerous terraces, or grab a sandwich and relax on the beach. You’ll soon understand why Cadaqués inspired Dalí and so many other artists. Travel up the coast to the smaller village of Port Lligat, where Dalí sought the peace and quiet that truly inspired him.  From Jul 1st - Aug 31st, the tour leaves Figueres for a delightful medieval coastal town where you can find lunch in one of the many local or traditional restaurants, before heading to Pubol Castle, once the home of Dalí and his wife Gala, located in the village of the same name.

Skirting the coast of the Cape of Creus, spotting also the rock of the cat and getting in the Tamariu cave if the weather is with us, we'll head towards Cadaqués from the Norpheus cape leaving before at our left hand side the creeks of: Canyelles Petites, Almadrava, Lledó, Murtra, Montjoi, Calitjàs and La Pelosa. Passing also the Creek of Jòncols and arriving to the Figuera’s headland we will be able to spot Cadaqués on our lefthand side. You will set off from Roses, Girona, and sail along the coast of the Cap de Creus Nature Park, passing by Cala Jóncols and Cap Norfeu, seeing the rock named ‘The Cat.' If weather permits you can enter Tamariu Cave and explore its depths before reaching the point of the Cap de Creus. The Cap is a rugged, rocky headland rising to 672 m above the Mediterranean Sea, forming a small, hilly peninsula carved by countless chasms that form small coves oriented according to the structure of the masses of slate. You can visit its lighthouse and explore the land. Afterwards, you will reach Cadaqués, where you can explore the picturesque Mediterranean fishing town, where the boat will stop for 1.5 hours.

Next, you’ll visit the Dali Museum, called the largest surrealistic object in the world. Designed by the artist himself on the ruins of an old municipal theater, the Museum takes you into the painter's mind via a collection of the strangest artifacts you can imagine. Follow the footsteps of the artist to Cadaqués, one of the hidden gems of the Costa Brava. The easternmost of the villages on the Iberian peninsula features spectacular views of white houses, the sea, and the capricious forms of the mountainous terrain.  Walk around the town center, relax at the waterfront, and enjoy the cuisine of a traditional fishing village. Just a mile from Cadaqués is Portlligat, the last stop on your itinerary. In 1930, Dalí made his home in this tiny, charming cove, building his house from a group of fishermen's huts. It has since been converted into the House Museum as it is the site where the painter created his most important works. Take an intimate tour through the rooms where he lived with his beloved wife and muse, Gala.

Enjoy a full day tour departing from Girona city to explore the most breathtaking part of the Costa Brava area, near the border to France! The first visit will be in the Natural Park of Cap de Creus located to the North-East of the Iberian Peninsula, where we can enjoy from the cliffs of spectacular views over the Gulf of Roses. We can visit the lighthouse and walk around to see the vegetation and rocky formations that characterize it (between June and September this part of the Natural Park is closed due the high risk of fire). After we will go to Cadaqués, the place more often reproduced in paintings by Dalí and where the artist lived for many years (cala de Portlligat). we will be able to walk through the town, its streets made with spike-shaped stones, its beaches and visit the Church of Santa Maria located in the highest area of the village. After lunch we will visit the impressive monastery of Sant Pere de Rodes, situated in a privileged place, in the Verdera mountains, within the Rodes mountains chain at 520m high with a visual domain of the Bay of Port de la Selva and the northern part of the massif of Cap de Creus. The origin of the monastery is wrapped by the legends, linked to archaeological and historical questions, gives the site a certain air of mystery. part of the legend, the monastery and in particular his Church is regarded as one of the main exponents of the Romanesque in Catalonia for their great originality.

We had a nice day. We are a family of four with 2 children (8,11). We enjoyed the Dali Museum and the Dali house as well as our time at the coastal town of Cadaques. Wish we would have had a little more time there. The transport was comfortable and our guide Berta was very informative.

Steve was an excellent guide! Very efficient and knowledgeable! Visits to Figueres and Cadaques went smoothly and were very interesting. Definitely the most comfortable and enjoyable way to dive into Salvador Dali’s work!
