Experience the Nightlife: Puerto Plata + Sosua + Cabarete

Experience the Nightlife: Puerto Plata + Sosua + Cabarete

For the tour, we will pick you up directly from your accommodation: from anywhere in the Puerto Plata / Sosua / Cabarete area. These 3 towns are our highlights for the evening - we will spend some time in each of them. In Puerto Plata, the biggest attractions in the evening are the nicely lit old town and the Malecon waterfront boulevard - a gathering place for locals. We'll take a stroll through the market with the cathedral, the Street of Umbrellas, the Pink Street and to the bay, where the fortress of St. Philip stands. Along the way we can sip cuba libre on a good rum. If you feel like it, we can join the folk feasting at the Malecon for a bit - everyone is welcome there. The highlights of this party are the Dominican music, the rum and of course the people :) The next stop on our night tour is the town of Sosua. Known especially for its bars and pubs, this is the place where nightlife thrives! We'll take a stroll here, or sit down for a beer or a drink if you have the desire. Finally, we will reach Cabarete, the last town on our route. By day it's a center for water sports, especially kite surfing. At night, on the other hand, the beach in Cabarete turns into a lively seaside boulevard. Here you will find restaurants, bars and discos right on the sand, under the palm trees. It's a meeting place for people from different countries, who party and dance together here :) Do you feel like joining them? Our Experience the Nightlife tour allows you to safely explore the Dominican Republic in an intimate group :)

What a wonderful experience. The driver, and speed boat operator were lovely. Our Guide Mathias was a kind gentleman who really sent the experience over the top. Dominican people are beautiful inside and out. He went above and beyond to make it memorable. The bus ride was a little long and I was car sick between buses so I would advise taking something prior. Although the speed boat might not be for everyone, I absolutely loved it. A tour through mangroves and a quick zip to the island. The island snorkeling was unbelievable. I spend most of my time on the outside of the reef where you could see the different varieties of coral. No shortage of tropical fish either. The traditional Dominican lunch was amazing. Anyone who complains shouldn’t travel, in my opinion. The cigar factory was a nice end to our excursion. I sampled some traditional Dominican delights, some chocolate and the Mamajuana. A beautiful memory for us. I hope to return some day.

What a nice memory. Some needed to leave the catamaran due to sea sickness so I would recommend taking Gravol/ Dramamine if you are not accustomed to boats. The crew, driver and our guide were top tier. So friendly and accommodating. I even got to dance with our guide Popo. So much fun. The snorkeling visibility wasn’t the best but the ocean is unpredictable. As a seasoned diver any day in the ocean is a good day. for me. We started in Sosua and were driven back from Puerto Plata. Overall a really great memory. Thank you for the great experience. I hope to be back some day!

The crew members onboard the catamaran were attentive and fun. They were busy mingling and serving guests but always kept an eye open if someone needed help stepping down to the toilet or on to the trampoline to catch some rays. The boarding process was slow. It would have been better if there was an additional speed boat or a different boarding location were guests could step right onto the catamaran. The snorkelling was excellent with lots of colourful fish and the guides helped to find the best spots.

I took this excursion twice in 3 weeks because it is such an awesome experience. The crew is exceptional, food is tasty, drinks flow freely, and music is entertaining. The two snorkelling spots were safe with lots of fish and clear water. Crew was attentive to the weaker swimmers and responded quickly to those looking for help.

Yhe excursion was very exciting and exhilarating. Our guides, Berny and Chael were excellent and gave us a great education on the huge variety of plants and trees while we were walking to and from the waterfalls.
