Why become a GetYourGuide supplier?

We understand the personal passion and pride that goes into creating and sharing your experiences, and we want to empower you to widen your reach and improve your offering—without handing over control.

Since launching in 2009, we’ve been optimizing our platform to support independent experience creators on their journey to innovation and growth. Here’s what you can achieve as a GetYourGuide supplier.

Grow your international reach

You don’t need a big marketing budget to expand your customer base. When you register as a supplier with GetYourGuide, you instantly become part of a huge global community of curious explorers. More than 40 million travelers visit our platform every month—not to mention over 16,000 partners, including influencers and bloggers.

Not only will you find yourself connected to thousands of eager travelers ready to discover your corner of the world. You’ll also have direct access to our marketing and industry expertise, insights, tools, and support—everything you need to innovate, grow, and increase your revenue.

Improve the search and booking experience for your customers

Reaching your target audience is only half the battle. Once you’ve got people interested in your unique offering, it’s essential to provide a seamless experience from start to finish. That includes making it as easy as possible for travelers to search, book, and attend your tours.

As a GetYourGuide supplier, you don’t need to worry about the logistics. Our platform is intuitive, user-friendly, and accessible, providing a fully optimized booking experience via web and mobile. We’ve created a first-class digital platform; all you need to do is add your activity.

Easily manage your activities and bookings, all in one place

As your business scales and bookings increase, one of the biggest challenges lies in staying organized. You want full control over your listings and a clear overview of your bookings at all times. The GetYourGuide platform serves as your central hub, allowing you to easily track and manage everything related to your supplier account, all in one place.

Which activities are allowed on GetYourGuide?

GetYourGuide is all about enabling people to experience the best of a place—be that through culinary adventures, cultural activities, a journey through history, sports and excursions, local nightlife, or something else entirely.

We strive to provide travelers with unique experiences, so we cannot accept resellers, online travel agencies, destination management companies, or unregistered private guides. However, if you’re a direct operator offering a truly memorable tour, activity, or attraction, you’ll be right at home with GetYourGuide.

Here are some of the activities and categories that belong on GetYourGuide:

  • Tours such as local walking tours, bike tours, boat tours, and day trips
  • Activities, e.g. spa days, wine tasting, hot air balloon rides, and guided hikes
  • Nightlife, e.g. pub crawls, bar hopping, nightclub experiences, flamenco shows, jazz club experiences, and dinner cruises (to name just a few)
  • Workshops and classes such as dancing lessons, cooking classes, glassblowing, pottery, painting, and mindfulness
  • City cards, e.g. hop-on, hop-off bus tickets, museum entry tickets, gym access, etc.
  • Transportation and transfers such as airport transfers, driver services, and boat taxis
  • Sporting activities, e.g. skydiving, paragliding, scuba diving, white-water rafting, surf lessons, etc.

This is by no means an exhaustive list. As long as you provide an interesting experience that can be offered on a recurrent basis, your activity is perfect for GetYourGuide.

Once you’ve registered as a Supply Partner, you can create and list your activity on GetYourGuide. Log in to the Supplier Portal and complete the following steps:

4. Write a product description and highlights. When customers view your activity on GetYourGuide, they have the option to click on “Highlights” for a summary of the experience, and “Full description” for a more comprehensive insight as to what’s involved. So, in step 4, you’ll write an introduction as well as the tour highlights and full description.

Once you’ve completed all three sections (introduction, full description, and highlights), click “Continue.”

5. Select locations. Here you can list all the major cities, sites, and attractions your customers will visit as part of the tour. Make your selections and click “Continue.”

6. Add keywords. Keywords work as tags for your product and help customers find your activity when they search by a theme or their interests. Try to enter 15 keywords for maximum reach.

7. List what’s included. When deciding whether or not to book an activity, customers will be looking to see exactly what they’ll get for their money. In this step, list all the main features and “goodies” that are included in the price. You can also add details of what’s not included—for example, if you’re offering a full-day tour, you may want to specify if lunch isn’t included.

8. Provide information about the guide, food and drink, and transportation. Continuing in the “What’s included?” category, you’ll now fill in some additional information about your tour—such as who customers can expect to interact with, whether food and drinks are included, and if transportation is included.

9. Add additional information. Here you’ll provide details regarding who the trip might not be suitable for, anything that’s not allowed during the tour, and any specific clothing or items the customer should bring with them (for example, a towel if the trip involves swimming). You’ll also add contact details in case customers need to reach you before the activity.

10. Upload at least 4 photos of your activity to show customers what they can expect from your tour. We recommend uploading 10 photos. Images can be uploaded in JPG, JPEG, PNG, or GIF format. Learn more: How to upload photos that spark interest in your activity.

11. Add product options. You’re almost there! Now it’s time to customize your activity and provide customers with specifics. Here you can set key details such as duration, group size, languages, meeting point, and price. Click “Create new option” and then fill out the necessary details.

12. Build your itinerary. The penultimate step in the process involves our itinerary builder tool. You can create the schedule for your tour, from the meeting point and time right through to the final drop-off. Click “Build itinerary” to get started.

how-to-list_20.png

13. Review your product. The final step in the process is to review all the information you’ve entered about your activity and confirm that it’s correct. Once you’re happy with how your activity is looking, check the box next to the compliance statement (“I certify that all services offered comply with the applicable rules of Union Law”) and press “Continue.”

If you haven’t done so already, you’ll need to provide certain information about your business (company name, address, phone number, etc.) before you can publish your activity. Fill out these details, then click “Save and publish.”

And that’s it! You’ve successfully created your first activity on GetYourGuide.

How much does GetYourGuide charge?

GetYourGuide applies a commission fee of between 20% and 30% depending on the country in which the activity is provided. The commission fee is calculated based on the activity ticket price.

So, if you’re charging €100 per ticket and the commission fee for your location is 20%, you’ll receive €80 per ticket sold. Note that there are no hidden or additional fees. Your commission rate will be shown when you set the price of your activity, and confirmed via email. That’s exactly what you’ll be charged—nothing more.

For more information, check out this guide explaining our supply partner commission fees and why we charge them.
