The most breathtaking view in Dubai is from the top of the Burj Khalifa, but how do you take a photo that illustrates just how tall the world's tallest building is? Here are our top five spots in Dubai for taking amazing photos of this architectural giant.
The Palm Islands are the two artificial islands off the coast of Dubai. You'll get incredible views across the marina, looking back at the city.
From the Waterfall Entrance on the Lower Ground level of the Dubai Mall, the world's biggest mall, you get two views at once: the Burj Khalifa and the romantic Dubai Fountains water show.
Jumeirah is known as the Beverly Hills of Dubai. This public beach stretches along the south coast from the junction of the Palm Jumeirah Island.
Most lounges inside this luxury hotel offer brilliant vistas of the Burj Khalifa. We suggest afternoon tea on the Risala terrace, or drinks in the Neos sky lounge (on the 63rd floor).
Located 3 kilometers from the Burj Khalifa, this green space offers a dose of tranquility within the city - and unique photos looking back across the lake, towards Dubai's skyscrapers.
Be patient and get creative. The Burj Khalifa is so tall that it will look out of proportion compared to almost everything else in the city! This gives you a serious chance to go on a photography mission, and a really fun excuse to explore all that Dubai has to offer (perhaps with an organized tour!).
Once you've taken an incredible photo, make sure you go to the At The Top observation deck inside Burj Khalifa and celebrate. Tip: Buy a ticket in advance in order to avoid up to 1.5-hour wait times.
The summer season will be cheapest, but it will also be incredibly hot. From November to April, the temperatures will be plenty warm for the beach without being too overwhelming. One additional planning tip: the holy month of Ramadan (when many Dubai locals will be fasting from dawn until dusk) has a big impact on the city's tourist hotspots.
It was the best jet ski experience we have ever had! From the moment we arrived, both hosts were welcoming and friendly and let us know that we were going to have a great time. They took pictures for us and made us feel comfortable. The ride itself was really amazing and our instructor Kareem made it the best experience possible. He was very attentive, relaxed and encouraging. We all said that it was the best experience we had throughout the holiday and will definitely come back to Kareem when we return to Dubai.
An amazing view of all of Dubai. It seemed like everyone had booked the 148th floor visit for sunset when we were there as it was extremely busy. A small espresso sized ginger and cardamom drink and a small sweet treat were offered but there was almost zero chance of a seat in the lounge or social distancing in the centre. The lower floors were less busy and the views are phenomenal. I would suggest the considerable extra expense for the higher floor wasn’t worth it in this instance
Not very crowded, even though right after New Year's. We went with 5 o'clock tour, sun is setting at 5:45 and we caught daylight, sunset and night lights. We had more than enough time and space to look and take good pictures. Masks are mandatory. 2 levels to explore and an affordable giftshop on both of them. The professional photos, you'll see, are not of very good quality, although the camera guy is fun.
I think it doesn’t make much difference between the 124th and the 148th floor. The view is quite the same . It would be nice if it was possible to buy cocktails in the 148th to enjoy the view. In any case it’s worth buying the vip tickets although they should be valid also for the way down.
Easy to find, good tour guide, voice a little fast and high pitched to heat exactly what was said- nice touch with the refreshments - would recommend this.
