Fabian was funny, entertaining and full of great facts! We brought our teen and she also loved his humor and the info shared. Far from the crowds of Pest, meet your actor guide and embark on your nighttime adventure. The tour starts from the bottom of the castle hill, but if you wish, you can meet the guide and group once they have reached the top.

Explore Budapest's enchanting history and admire the spectacular Buda Castle, where Hungarian rulers once toiled deep into the night. Hear stories of cruelty and learn about the despicable actions of Elizabeth Bathory, the bloody countess.

Discover how the Romanian prince Vlad Dracula ended up in the prison of Buda Castle and journey into Hungary's dark past, where, according to legend, vampires and other creatures of the night roamed the streets and villages.

Meeting point

Meet at the Kilometre Zero Stone, which is located at the bottom of the Buda Castle Hill, by the funicular entrance (Clark Adam Square), a few meters away from the Chain Bridge (Buda side). If you do not wish to walk up the hill, consider taking the funicular and meeting the group on top of the hill; in this case please inform the activity provider in advance.

  • The tour includes an uphill walk and two flights of stairs. If you wish to skip the stairs, meet the guide at the bottom to be directed to a funicular (fee not included)

  • During the walking tour, you will be allowed to take photos only. Short videos are permitted, but long video and audio recordings are prohibited during the walking tour

Bernedetta the guide was great and had the perfect mix of history and jokes! Tour was great from the covered subjects and the route. Only slightly negative the group was huge with 40 people, so it was hard to keep them together at all times.
