Visit the Mangalica Menyorszag eatery at a local market hall and taste traditional products made from Mangalica pork, Hungary's oldest and most prized breed of pig (vegetarian options are also available).
Then head to the Feszek Klub, a historical landmark usually closed to the public, for a behind-the-scenes look at a place where famous Hungarian artists, singers, actors, and musicians have gathered to discuss politics and philosophy for over a century. Meet locals and listen to their stories about changing life in Budapest.

Learn about Budapest's robust craft beer scene at Hopaholic, and taste varieties like Brew Dog, the country’s most successful craft beer. Visit Café Analog, a trendy spot specializing in vintage cameras and vinyl records.
With a Polaroid in hand, take souvenir photos of local street art and walk in the footsteps of such greats as Andre Kertesz and Robert Capa, world-famous, Budapest-born photographers.
Hit unique shops like Printa, a zero-waste boutique featuring environmentally-conscious local designs and a gallery dedicated to contemporary artists. Browse apparel and accessories at Punch, launched in 2017 by a consortium of up-and-coming local designers. Meet one of the shop's founders and learn about Hungarian fashion and textiles as you peruse the shelves of quirky hats and pretty handbags.

Take a short ride on Europe's first electric underground railroad and journey into the heart of old Budapest, Vorosmarty Square. Admire the fusion of Art Nouveau and Modernist architecture and take in the statue of Hungarian poet Mihály Vörösmarty. Head to the St. Andrea Sky Bar, and end your tour in style with dazzling views of the city and a cocktail in hand. Choose a classic option or go local with a cocktail made with Palinka, a traditional Hungarian fruit brandy.
