The Hop on Hop off bus is th3 perfect way to see everything you wants. We jumped on at the Margit Bridge and rode the route one full time to decide which stops we wanted to see. I was pleasantly that not we were able to not only use this bus but the other Big Bus line as well. It was very convenient. We purchased the tour with 'extras' but didn't take advantage of those not because we couldn't but there was just too much to see. I think this is a great value.

Know before you go

  • Red Line: First departure from Stop 1 at 9am, last departure from Stop 1 at 5pm. Duration- 90 minutes. Buses run every 10 - 20 minutes
  • Green Line: First departure from Stop 1 at 9am, last departure from Stop 1 at 5pm. Duration - 50 minutes. Buses run every 10 - 20 minutes
  • Boat Tour- 12pm, 1pm, 2pm, 3pm, 4pm, 4:30pm and 5pm (included in all tickets). Departures at 6pm, 7pm, 8pm, 9pm and 9:30pm are available for a small surcharge payable locally
  • Please note that the last boat tour included in the ticket will be at 5pm and may be overcrowded. It is advised to arrive 30 minutes before departure
  • Boat Tour- meeting point: Dock no. 6, Duna Korzo, in front of the Marriott Hotel. Each boat tour requires a minimum of 10 passengers. Narrated in English only
  • Walking Tour starts every day at 11am from Szent Istvan ter 1, 1051, Hungary and ends at the Chain Bridge on the Pest side. Duration - 1 hour. Narrated in English only
  • Walking Tour goes through areas the bus can't cover

Really good hop on hop off; 90minutes on average and takes you all over the city, informative and interesting. Our ticket included the boat tour which is 45mins which gives you a different view of the city from the Danube and was worth taking. We also did the 2hr walking tour (with Claudia) which was very interesting too! Can’t grumble at the price with everything that was included!
