Follow your guide through through the history and sights of the Buda Castle District on this walking tour in Budapest. Hear stories from Hungarian history as you see sights like the President's Palace, the Royal Palace, and the Hungarian Parliament building.

Begin your tour at the Baroque Holy Trinity Statue and walk to the 15th century, Gothic Matthias Church. Admire the fairy-tale like Fishermen's Bastion and take in views of the Danube river and the Parliament building from the Neo-Romanesque terraces.

Stroll along the old cobble-stone streets to get to the President's Palace and the Royal Palace complexes. Walk around the courtyards and fountains, and look at the proud guards outside the palace.

Marvel at stunning views of the other side of the city across the majestic Danube River from the royal terraces. Capture pictures of views of the Margaret Bridge, the Chain Bridge, the Elizabeth Bridge, and the Liberty Bridge.

Visit the other side of the castle and enjoy an excellent view towards the forested Buda Hills from the medieval walls. End your tour near the Holy Trinity Statue where it began.

The place is particularly interesting but Elisabetta's story made it fascinating and evocative. A story full of historical references, legends with an eye to the past but also to the present and the future. The excellent cultural preparation and mastery of the language have allowed an excellent understanding of even small news. Staying more than two hours with her was easy, useful and fun too. Really congratulations Elisabetta and see you soon we hope.

Excellent tour of a beautiful historic part of Budapest with a clear, concise and nuanced historical overview that was relevant for understanding the landmarks but also for remembering the highlights of local history. Our guide Eva was particularly knowledgeable and extremely pleasant to talk to about Hungarian history and culture.

It was a very fun afternoon with Krystyna, going around the royal citadel of Buda. She really breathed life into the tour with anecdotes and explanations about the history of the city and Hungary. The tour itself is not so active, there are long periods standing which can be tiring for some. Personally I would have liked to move and see more. But I would not have changed our guide with another.
