Full description

Discover Budapest on a sightseeing cruise along the River Danube. Relax as you pass by some of the city's most notable landmarks as you sip on a complimentary welcome drink (alcoholic or non-alcoholic).

Climb aboard the pleasure boat at the pier of Budapest's Szent István Park and receive your welcome beverage. Then, cruise down the River Danube, and pass monuments such as the National Parliament, Buda Castle, and the Várkert Bazár, recently restored to its original splendor. Head to the open deck for perfect views of the illuminated Vigadó Concert Hall, or look at the floodlit monuments between the Margaret Bridge and Rákóczi Bridge from the comfort of an air-conditioned deck with panoramic windows. Experience the city more like a local - although there are no audio or live guides on board the boat, it functions as a floating coffee house or pub experience with its own bar

The night views were amazing! - best to go at 8.30 pm when the sun has almost finished setting and the buildings by the Danube river are just lit up. 7.30 pm might be a little too early to see the lit-up buildings. The boat goes in a loop around the river so that you can see the views of both sides of the river nicely. The boat also sails smoothly enough for nice photos to be taken. The alcoholic drink tasted a little diluted, but it was all right since the drink was just a nice bonus on top of the good views.

Welcome drink was really nice and the tour was beautiful. Employees were kind. Would've been even better if there were more chairs on the open deck as the weather was very nice and most people would like to sit outside. It would've been great if there would've been someone telling us what we were seeing, but as this was only 9 euros, it was just great.

The price is what saves this from being a three-star review. This was just a straight up cruise down the Danube and back with a small glass of sparkling wine or lemonade. There was no audio guide or anything like that. It’s fine for what it was, but the waiter only came around once in a hurry clearing tables, and when I went to the bar counter toward the end, they refused to even sell me a snack because we were a few minutes from the pier. Like, I get if they can’t serve alcohol and have me walking off the boat with it. But I’m sorry, I don’t care if I can’t finish my bowl of chips or popcorn before we’re docked, or if I can’t take it with me, just serve me a snack. I’m a hungry tourist. Take my money! It’s called the hospitality industry for a reason.
