    Perched on the left bank of the Danube River, the Castle District of Budapest is the hilly, older section of the city, full of stunning architecture from the medieval to the baroque. On this 3-hour walking tour around Buda Castle (Royal Palace), you will journey back to the 13th century, and explore the golden period of the 15th century. The Ottoman invasion, the Habsburg period, and the battles of 1944-1945 all had a significant effect on the architectural feature of the district. From the walls - the most strategic position in the city - you can gaze out at one of the most beautiful cityscapes in the world. Admire the most popular attractions, such as Matthias Church on Holy Trinity Square and the Fishermen's Bastion.     Attilla was brilliant. He took us round the castle district of Buda. He is exceptionally knowledgable, friendly and helpful. His love for history and his city clearly shines through and we left with a far deeper understanding of the history of Hungary as a whole.

    Atilla is such a well informed and helpful guide. He knows quite a lot about not just Buda castle but about the whole of Budapest and he makes the tour very fun! Amazing guide, though our tour didn't work out as planned due to the unexpected rain, 5 stars to the guide!

    I was traveling with my husband and 3 college kids. One of my kids is a history major so I wanted a tour of buda castle. I prefer private tours since I don't like groups of 30 and really don't care about other people's questions. The tour was fabulous. Our guide was extremely organized and he was very thorough.
