What People Are Saying About Bucharest
Our guide was great from start to end. Plenty of time to enjoy each sight and he even took time out to let us capture the best photos. We skipped every queue and even got a little gift at the end. We loved this tour, plenty of variety and time to yourself to explore. Our guide Stephen was AMAZING, and he even booked us a table at his favourite restaurant on the way home. 5* service with a smile!!!
We had a great day with more than we bargained for. Lots to see and lots to eat. We especially enjoyed the tram to the top of the mountain great extra! Florin knew all the history and fun facts too. We highly recommend this tour. Thanks again Florin!
We were reluctant to make bookings from Dubai. Upon arrival in Bucharest, the hotel staff were keen to provide touring options only with 1 company. Fortunately during our web search we stumbled upon Get your Guide. And that was the turning point for us to be opened to a gateway of information and options..........leaving us wishing we sighted this Guide earlier, or had more days planned. We booked a full day trip to Sinia Monastry, Peles castle, Bran Castle, returning through Brasov. We were attended by CT&T. Our guide and driver was Mr. Claudiu Cirjan. I can't praise enough, for the courtesy, care and information he provided. I rate his services as 'par excellence ' !! He is well informed on historical subjects and gifted with superb English communication skills. He made us completely change our perspective of Romania, besides of course, Get your Guide's offers. We will be strongly recommending him as well as GyG to any of our friends travelling to Romania. Thank you very much.
Theo was an excellent guide and driver - we enjoyed being the only ones in the car with him. Both Peles and Bran castles were quite different but impressive in their own right. Peles was a beautiful example of a 19thC castle with all its splendour whilst Bran, perched high on craggy rocks, was full of interesting twisting staircases and tales. We enjoyed th history of the place. Unfortunately I had knee problems and couldn't manage Raznov. The old town of Brasnov was pretty, reminding us of Heidelberg - of course there is German history there anyhow. The story of the black church intrigued us which we happily saw in place of Rasnov. Theo took us to lunch in an excellent underground cellar restaurant.
The guide was very familiar with the area. The castles were beautiful!! So worth the trip!! If you're looking for souvenirs the only place to do any major type of shopping for Romania handcrafts, food, and goods is outside of Bran castle. I wish I had bought more!! The mountains are beautiful! All around we had a great time seeing the countryside. The guide picked us on time and also gave us a brief driving tour of downtown in the morning before taking use to the first castle. Also the photo fee is totally worth it for the first castle.
