Full description
Depart Bucharest in the morning and head toward the mountains. After an approximately two-hour drive, stop first in Sinaia, a famous mountain resort considered the "Pearl of the Carpathians." Here you will also visit Peles Castle, the former summer residence of the first king of Romania, Carol I.

Then, continue onward into Transylvania, "the country beyond the forest." Take in spectacular views of the second castle on the day's program, Bran Castle, a medieval construction made famous by the legend of Count Dracula.

Before parting ways with this special place, you will be driven to Brasov, Kronstadt, which maintains its German name. Enjoy a short walking tour in the Old Town before heading back to Bucharest.
