What to Expect
Visit Ceausescu’s Palace, the present-day Palace of the Parliament, the most expensive administrative building in the world. Afterwards descend to the desolate “grey” neighborhoods, with architecture that is typical for the communist era and find out about the Romanian outlook on the past in a restaurant with an ambiance reminiscent of the “golden age”. Together with your guide who directly experienced the communist regime, go to an exhibition dedicated to the communist regime and enter the Presidential Palace. Enjoy a panoramic tour of the city observing more representative landmarks like the Central Committee of the Communist Party, the Spring Neighborhood where Nicolae Ceausescu lived with his wife and children and the Spark House, the former headquarters of the Central Communist Press.
