    Discover some of Romania's most famous castles on a guided day trip from Bucharest. See Peles Castle and Bran Castle and take some free time to go on a stroll through the Old Town of Brasov. 

    Following pickup from Bucharest by bus, leave the city for Sinaia. Relax on the drive to Peles Castle, the former residence of the kings of Romania. Here, admire furniture, ornamental objects, carpets, tapestries, sculptures, paintings and collections of weapons from the 15th to 19th centuries.

    Continue to Bran with its famous Bran Castle, also known as Dracula's Castle. Learn about the castle's history and how it had a strategic mission due to its position on the border between Transylvania and Wallachia.

    Spend free time in Brasov and admire the town's houses built in the Renaissance, Baroque, Provincial, and Neoclassical style. Explore the medieval fortress of Brasov, formerly one of Europe's most secure fortresses. See the preserved old wall, the Black and White Towers, and the Weaver's Bastion.

    Learn about Catherine's Gate, situated near the Schei Gate in the western part of the fortress and its 4 little towers which symbolize the medieval right of life and death over the vassal's lives. Later, return to Bucharest for drop-off at your accommodation.

    • Peles Castle is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays from November 1, 2022 to April 17, 2023. If your tour is booked within this time period, you will see Peles Castle from the outside. Peles Castle it is closed on Sunday, April 17 and open on Monday, April 18

    This was a well organised trip, contact for pick up was well in advance, Serban the tour guide was excellent, he was so witty & kept the bus laughing throughout the long parts of the journey. He was very informative from the outset pointing out places of interest & history in the city centre & then was very clear about how the day would proceed. You can tell he loves his job with how he spoke about Romania & it’s history. We learned a lot from Serban about Romania’s history & he gave enough time for free time at each attraction for refreshments/toilet breaks etc. we would highly recommend this tour if in Bucharest & have a day to do this, you get to see great views of the mountains & the villages as you drive to Bran, Brasov & Peles.

    What a truly wonderful day in Transylvania! The tour guide, Riga, was fenomanal! Took so good care of all the people in the group with so much knowledge, humour and wit. One of the best group tours I have been on. He really went out and beyond to make sure we had the best day. I was travelling alone, but by the end of the day made so many new friends. I could have written a long, beautiful essay on the whole day, but it has to be experienced in real life, the tour. DO NOT HESITATE to book it! Memories for life<3

    Serban, our tour guide was very nice with lots of knowledge. He explained everything to us and we finished our tour on time! Peles castle was amazing, and Dracula's Castle was good. You need to have cash to pay the entrance for the castles. You also need cash to buy food and souvenirs in Brasov.
