Liked the actual parliament visit, which is about 45 mins. 1 hour spent meeting at excursion office, walking to parliament then security and waiting. This needs to be shortened.

We were taken to the Parliament by a lovely woman who offered to take some amazing pictures for us. The parliament building is incredible and our guide inside Christian was great. Don’t forget to take your passports if you’re from the UK as they won’t let you inside without them

Full description

Once arrived at the venue, your host will make sure you accommodate and introduce you to the guide. Pass the metal detectors, your first stop will be in the Honor Hallway, a place full of torsos representing some of the most representative Romanian kings from the Middle Ages to the modern days like Vlad Dracula. Next step will be the enormous hallways and the rooms that are named after of some of the most important Romanian artists, poets and writers : N. Balcescu, M. Kogalniceanu etc. Throughout the tour you will admire the Pink room dedicated to ONU meetings, the Music Hall, location where some of world's biggest artists performed. Your tour will end in something that is believed to be Europe's biggest ballroom, comparable to the size of four football fields attached one to the other.

  • It is the home of the Romanian Parliament and changes can occur at any time independent of us. Rooms can close for different reasons, or the itinerary can change without any notice.
  • Due to recent events at the Palace of Parliament the access of individual visitors will be restricted. For time being only organized group with or by tour agencies have access to the venue .
  • Do not go directly ( alone) to the Palace , your access won't be granted . We will walk together from the office to the Parliament .
  • There will be two security checks. Do not carry sharp objects , flammable containers , etc.
  • Arriving at our office 30 minutes before the starting time it is crucial .
  • Without ids/passports your tour will be cancelled automatically.

Before we set off, the local guide made sure we knew exactly what was to be expected, and what we could not take into the building. The guide at the palace was excellent - very knowledgeable. We were kept to tome but not rushed, and able to take plenty of photos. 2 very slight niggles - please walk a little slower from the offices to the palace! Also, the official guide started talking in each room before everyone got there - it would have been even better if he had waited just 30 seconds. Definitely worth doing.
