Our hike in Bryce Canyon with Oscar was amazing and truly the highlight of our entire trip to Utah and Arizona. It was not an easy hike. It is a 5-6 hour guided hike so with transportation time you can easily expect to be hiking for about 4 hours. Oscar takes you down into Bryce Canyon and then back UP the trails with about a 700’ elevation gain. That’s 50 stories on my Fitbit. However, I am a casual hiker and Oscar made the experience eminently doable! His explanations and enthusiasm for all things Bryce Canyon was fascinating, detailed and I must say at times a welcome distraction from the exertions of the climb! He knows everything about the flora, fauna, geology and animal life in the park and really brings it alive! Any moderate hiker can do this and will feel a great sense of accomplishment at the end! He also took us on a 2nd easier hike to a secret waterfall as a bonus. This is a win! If you’re going to Bryce go with Oscar. You won’t be disappointed!

Excellent. Our group consisted of four people. Oscar, our hiking guide, was a tremendous guide. He was knowledgeable about Bryce Canyon and everything in it including the geology and fauna. He was very patient and accommodated our hiking speed which was moderately slow due to our age. Oscar also knew all the good photo opportunities and stopped along the trail for us to take pictures, and he also took many photos of the four of us. Oscar instinctively knew when we needed to rest and picked great spots with lots of shade as the day we hiked was sunny and mildly hot. Overall, Oscar provided us an excellent tour of Bryce Canyon which lasted 4-5 hours. He’s also easy going and has a great demeanor.

We went on tour with Oscar and he was the best! This is the only company that employs local guide and it really shows! He was so passionate and insightful about the canyon and its history! Could not recommend more! This visit was the height of our trip in the US. Go oscar!
