Very kid friendly. We had a 5 year old who rode by himself on their most tame horse and there were zero issues. It was a show pace away from the meeting point but after halfway is spectacular views. Great weather also was in our favor but I would consider the exposure if it was very hot or cold. Overall a 5 star experience for both young and old
