Jamal was an absolute pleasure! He is uber-smart, very knowledgeable, and very personable. Jamal was everything mentioned in the other posts. During our tour, there was a lovely family from Australia, two Americans, and myself (American). Jamal got all of us talking and having fun. He interjected humor into the history lessons wherever he could. He also took the time to entertain us for a very nice lunch in Brugge. After the tour, Jamal was even nice enough to take me to grab a quick bite to eat at one of his favorite local eateries. As I don't eat meat, he personally communicated to the chef to make me the best vegetarian meal they could. This really meant a lot to me. I look forward to a future tour with Jamal.
I got the 72 hour pass and it was excellent value for money. I went to 3+ museums each day so really made a saving. The only improvement that could be made is with regards to collecting the public transport pass. The "Go" ticket machines are located at bus stops and this isn't mentioned. It took me about an hour to work this out as I was only told to got to Gare Centrale station and so I naturally tried the ticket machines in there. The easy solution is to have a "Go" machine in the office where you collect the museum pass itself so then is a genuine one stop shop.
Our guide, Vita, was wonderful! It was a lovely tour and we enjoyed not only our guide but the other guests on the tour. Just a fun day of seeing beautiful Belgium cities, hearing history of the area, sipping hot chocolate and tasting fabulous chocolate! Lunch in Bruges at Blossom was yummy and the Flemish Stew tasted especially good on a chilly day. Blossom also had the best Chardonnay! Delightful! All in all just a relaxing, fun, day in Belgium. Made better by having everything handled for you by your tour guide, Vita.
The trip was great from start to finish. Coach was clean and comfortable. Perfect amount of time in both cities and the tour enabled us to see a lot of different interesting things. Our tour guide Andrea was great - really informative and had lots of interesting facts. The use of microphone and earphones meant we could hear everything. Overall it was a fantastic trip and would 100% recommend.
My trip was in english, Brugges was a very small trip since we had to go to Gent.. both cities are very nice. The guide explained about the architecture and took very beautiful pics w his cellphone. He sent them after all. The weather was very windy so mainly to Brugges end january i would recommend u wear some extra “layers”. Well, was a nice day :)
