  • There are 80 steps to walk up and 167 steps to walk down, and it is impossible to avoid this

  • After 3:30 PM the flow of visitors tends to reduce
  • During the holiday periods, the attraction can be very crowded which can cause longer waiting times
  • You are invited to check the activity provider's Facebook and Google pages which shows the number of visitors in real time

It was so far out of the main tourist area I debated whether to go. However I had already paid so waited until they suggested the busy time had passed and boy was I glad I went. What an incredible experience. From the outside it looked like there were loads of steps between all the pods. I thought oh no I've made a mistake. Again I was mistaken and its mostly escalators up the various floors. It's a wholly immersive experience. You can sit back and just chill in the rooms with the lights and music. I wasn't massively interested in how or why it came to be but it didn't matter. A truly stunning place to visit and a definite one to visit.

The building is amazing and iconic and should be visited on a visit to Brussels. We did not take the lift to the top for the view as it was a 45 minute wait and my kids were not up for it. The other part, a journey through a museum (mildly interesting) and a light and music show (really cool, definitely the highlight) took about an hour. The app game, mentioned in the details, did not work, which was a shame.

Had been to the Atomium on May 7, a weekend. Was able to bypass long ticket queues with this online voucher. Thanks GetYourGuide! About the Atomium itself- Loved it. Iconic place in Brussels. With this ticket, you can enter each of the spheres of the Atomium and learn about it. The sphere with the light-and-music show was the best. Such a thrilling experience. In the end, there is another queue to use the elevator to go right to the topmost structure of the Atomium. Don't miss it!
