Join a guided tour of the historic center of Brussels and spend an enjoyable 2.5 hours with a local guide. You'll hear about the city’s culture, gastronomy, and architecture, and get to know the history of Brussels, along with its beer and chocolate.
What to Expect
On this 2.5-hour tour you’ll visit the Grand-Place, Manneken Pis, Sainte-Catherine, the Grand Sablon, the Royal Square and the Palace, the churches, and the museums. Learn about the Belgian Monarchy, the political system, the European Union in relation to Brussels, and more.
Tours depart daily at 10:30 and 14:00, and are led by local Brussels guides.
Your guide will provide an overview of the development of Brussels, beginning with the medieval and baroque city, through the industrial city and the bourgeois city, to modern Brussels.
You’ll hear about the city’s museums, the best bars and local beers, and where to buy the best chocolate at a reasonable price. In addition, your guide will also answer any practical questions you might have about restaurants, attractions, nightlife, or public transport, for example.
As Brussels is a rather hilly town, tours have been developed with 2 different themes: Upper City and Lower City. This is also meant to help you better understand the origins and the historic development of Brussels.
