Fantastic day out. We saw a turtle, an octopus, and millions of incredible fish. It was so worth it. I had read a lot of the reviews complaining that you only have half an hour snorkelling but we were in the first snorkelling group of the day and when we finished we just went and hired a snorkel, mask and fins and went by ourselves for a few hours. It was nice going with a guide first to get an idea of the area. It was only a short swim out to the wrecks from the beach and as long as you are beachside of the wrecks the swell and currents were not an issue at all. The amazing colourful fish were only congregated around the wrecks. There were just normal fish as soon as you were over the regular sea floor so it is definitely worth going to the wrecks. Beautiful area to swim. Plenty of food options but it is not clear what is available, you have to go and have a good look inside each resort area.
The snorkeling was great! Nice view of the wrecks and fish and we were lucky to see a turtle and a stingray. Too bad there were some very poor swimmers in the group but the organization helped the family through.

Full description
Arrive at beautiful Moreton Island after a beautiful 75 minute boat journey. Included in your day trip is a snorkelling tour. The snorkelling experience takes you to one of Australia's best snorkelling locations, The Tangalooma Wrecks, which is home to a large variety of reef fish, coral formations and marine life.
Throughout the day, you will also have full access to the resort facilities, including pools, restaurants and bars. You can also enjoy the 'Discover the World of Dolphins' presentation at the Eco Centre at 3:15pm. Head back to the jetty to depart for Brisbane at 4:00pm for another relaxing boat journey. You will arrive back in Brisbane at 5:15pm.
