Such a good experience! Comfy boat tonget there and back. Pickup and instructions all clear. Kayak and snorkel stuff rented for 3h. Super clear water (cold in late May so bring a wetsuit or rent there) and lots of fish. Warmed up by the pool and then some SUP. Coffeeplace was awesome as well. Perfect day trip!

Full description

Experience the stunningly beautiful Moreton Island from multiple perspectives with a full-day trip. Catch the ferry from Holt Street Wharf in Brisbane and head on to the white sandy beaches of Tangalooma Island Resort.

Revel in a kayak or a stand-up paddleboard session along the calm crystal-clear waters of Tangalooma. Snorkel around the shipwrecks to meet the island’s marine life. Enjoy convenience, as all guests have full access to the resort’s facilities and amenities which includes 2 swimming pools which are perfect for guests who are not fond of the sandy shores.

Showers, toilets, and lockers are readily available, plus restaurants and cafés for your hungry stomachs. Play a variety of games such as beach volleyball or cricket with friends and family or just relax and chill by the beach. Return to Brisbane arrive at the wharf in the late afternoon.

This was an amazing day trip done with my friends. It started with boat transport to the island where the captain gave us lots of history and facts about the various things we saw on our the journey. When we got to the island it was a short walk to the welcome area where we were told about the different options we could do for the day. We opted for the kayak and snorkel (snorkel gear and fins with the option of wetsuits hire) for 3 hours which is what the onsite staff recommended. There are lockers avaible for $10 for the day. We were given advice on the best time to kayak up to the ship wrecks which took us around 40 minutes. We beach our kayaks and then its around a 50-100m swim out to the ship wrecks (we were given life jackets which I would recommend wearing if you’re not a strong/confident ocean swimmer). We all enjoyed exploring the ship wrecks and saw loads of different fish. We were then boarded the boat to return back to the main land at 15:30.
