Your tour will take you through historic Bridgetown and to the Garrison, which is now a World Heritage Site. Head north from here along the western coast, known by the locals as the Platinum Coast because of the number of million-dollar homes in the area. Holetown, the next site of interest, was the first British settlement. Stop at St. James Anglican Church, built on the site of the first place of worship on Barbados. As you leave the west coast and travel to the northern tip of the island, your next stop is the Animal Flower Cave where you will see crashing waves against the cliff. You then head off to St. Nicholas Abbey Plantation. Enjoy a guided tour of the plantation house and its rum distillery. You’ll be offered a complimentary rum or fruit punch and also have a chance to taste their magnificent non-blended rum. You will then stop for lunch and drinks at a local restaurant. Continue east along the shoreline and experience the full force of the Atlantic Ocean crashing onto the island. At breathtaking Bathsheba you’ll see the famous surfing spot known as the Soup Bowl. This is a surfers’ paradise, featuring mushroom-shaped boulders offshore.

The tour will begin from Harbour Lights in Carlisle Bay. From here, you'll head to a location where green sea turtles and hawksbill turtles are regularly spotted. From there, you'll journey to three different shipwrecks, which are all located close to shore. Here, you'll have a perfect view of the wrecks through your clear kayaks. Be amazed as you learn the interesting history of the wrecks and how they ended up at their final resting place. Finally, head to back to shore for a complimentary rum punch on the beach.

Start your tour at the magnificent Foursquare Rum Distillery where you will meet your friendly and informative guide. Once a working sugar factory in the 15th century, Foursquare now pays tribute to the many aspects of Barbadian history. You will learn about the various stages of rum making and enjoy samples of their amazing rums at the bar. Stop at the Mount Gay Visitor Center at the end of your tour. Learn and taste about the oldest and most storied rum in Barbados.

4. Historic Garrison and its Museum - a Military Story

You get to try and enjoy the various modes of transportation on the island as you make your way to the Barbados Museum for the start of your walking tour.  You will travel on foot around the Garrison and see the many barracks while getting a sense of what life of the soldiers of that time was like. On the journey through this historic area, you will hear stories about hurricanes, wars, forts and cannons, the birth of horse racing and cricket as well as about the Court Martials and the famous house where George Washington stayed on his visit to this island.    A few intriguing stories along the way will bring it all together. A tasting and sampling along the way completes this tour which is even more comfortable with the aid of your audio equipment. No more running to catch up to hear what the guide has to say! we had a wonderful time on our island tour our guide gave us lots of imformation about the islands answered all our questions we had a lovely lunch in a local resturant . We used her again as a taxi when we visited another hotel and she took us a differant way to our tour so we could see some more of the island i would definitely recomend this tour and would use them again thank for a lovely time.

We couldn’t have asked for a better tour or a better guide. If you are in Barbados and want to see and learn about the island historically as well as todays environment, this is the tour. The lunch was amazing as well, try to get the coconut cheesecake.

Great little excursion. Our guide was very informative and friendly and told us lots about the sea life and helped us spot the turtles. Added fun of being in the kayak. Waterproof phone holders provided. Had a lovely time.
