It is believed that an Antarctic flow enters the canyon gathering bio carbons which create a nutrient rich environment,  enticing many marine species to the area each year. This interaction creates nutrient rich up welling waters, where phytoplankton develops, and an intense food chain for marine life prospers.  Experts will provide live commentary throughout the cruise and answer any questions you may have.
