Money down the drain! Primitive tour, no value for lots of money. Incompetent, narrow-minded Russian guide, who kept on telling stories about her British husband, their travels, her clients, etc. She failed to ”read” our reaction, so we had to ask her to stop talking and leave us alone. The tour looked like a scam organized by a Russian guy Dennis to rip off clients who can afford a private tour. We are Russian but asked for a tour in English (expected to meet a professionally literate British guide) to add some “flavor” to the Downtown Abbey tour. Stayed in the village for 10 minutes : went to the local library, where our “guide” asked the librarian questions about Morris dance and bought some book. That was it! No chance to get an insight into the place: she had nothing to tell us, couldn’t answer our questions and was in a hurry: the tour comprised just 2 villages for £900+ We insisted on seeing more, to which she agreed, but kept reminding us that it was a bonus. Outrageous!!!
