This was an amazing whale watching cruise. We saw over 10 whales up close and personal. Several in the distance. I would highly recommend this tour. They guarantee whale sightings and will give you a free cruise ticket that never expires if you don’t see a whale. They drive you out to a protected area 1 1/2 hours out. You watch for whales in this protected area for an hour. Then another hour and a half back. It could last 3-4 hours depending on how long it takes to find them. You could see the sprays in the distance of the humpbacks. Three huge humpbacks surfaced within a few feet from us and lazily took in air and you could see their blow holes so well. Then they dove down. What an incredible experience! There is a great guide from the New England Aquarium on board keeping you posted on where to look.
The trip was great and we did see some whales and dolphins!! Unfortunately as we were outside we could not hear any of the commentary at all. When we mentioned this to one of the crew they said if we wanted to listen we had to sit inside, no-one had mentioned this and a lot if us were very disappointed. Also we were not given the guide book/leaflet which again was disappointing. Having said that it was an amazing 4 hour trip which we would thoroughly recommend.
The Boston Duck Tour is a must. Our guide had us laughing for an hour and a half while learning fun facts about Boston. This is a "must do" if you visit Boston. Don't miss a chance to see the sights & get a feel for where you might want to go to see more of what Boston's all about. Double Thumbs-up for the Duck Tours!!
The staff at Boston Duck Tours was excellent. I was entertaining 2 wheelchair-bound gentleman from Korea. The staff cheerfully helped them board and debark. The men said the audio guides in Korean gave them a lot of information. Based on that, I highly recommend this activity!
The cruise itself was good and the narrator was very interesting when we could hear him. It was more like a party cruise than anything else.
