Full description

Learn about the tumultuous 15-year period that culminated in the American Revolution on this small-group walking tour. As you walk through the heart of Boston, you’ll follow the footsteps of colonial Bostonians, all of whom grappled with the difficult question of loyalty or rebellion to crown and country. Start your walking tour on Boston Common, where the Freedom Trail originates. From there, you'll begin your walk along the historic Freedom Trail with your guide. Along the way, learn the significance of landmarks such as the Granary Burying Ground, the Old South Meeting House, the Boston Massacre Site, the Old State House, Faneuil Hall, and more. Your walking tour concludes at Copp's Hill Terrace, steps from the Old North Church. This final viewpoint over to Charlestown provides guests with a view of all 16 official landmarks on the Freedom Trail.

We had a fabulous walking tour with Drew! We completed the 90 minute walking tour which was over half of the Freedom Trail stops. Drew was extremely knowledgeable and engaging and provided so much context to the historic landmarks we were seeing. We would recommend this tour to anyone and it was a great option for our first time in Boston to get a good lay of the land and hear so much historical information in a relatively short amount of time!

“Nick” was our tour guide and he was very informative of the history behind the Freedom Trail. He told it in story form, which allowed us to keep track of the timeline, so much easier. He was able to answer questions we had. We brought our 14 year old grandson, and he was engaged the entire time. There are many tours of the Freedom Trail, and I especially recommend this one. Ted was excellent. He was so knowledge, but rather than just spouting facts, he weaved everything together into a story. It made it so much more interesting and the time flew by. We felt like could have spent the entire day with him. Would highly highly recommend him and this tour.
