Wow! This was our favourite tour while visiting the US. Our guide was called ‘Shaun’ and was fantastic, engaging and full of information. I particularly like his Sam Adam’s joke, hee hee. He was so welcoming and friendly when we arrived and even asked us a bit about who we are etc. the group was a good size for everyone to see and hear and we had the change to ask questions and speak with each other. I would recommend doing this on day 1 so you get your bearings and know what’s what.

I’ve lived in Mass. for 30+ years, & I’ll admit, have never walked the complete Freedom Trail. Finally, with visitors in town, I booked it the tour with Cambridge Historical Tours - our 2.5 hour tour was the highlight of their visit! Our guide Mark, was a tall, walking NE history book with fun facts that brought slavery⛓, abolitionists, Puritans, John Hancock, the Boston Massacre, revolutionary sparksat the Old State House, Paul Revereand the USS Constitution come alive! The pace of the walking tour was perfect and it was a gorgeous summer day - we couldn’t have asked for more. Highly recommending this tour to everyone! Thank you Mark for your passion for Boston, NE history and wonderful politically correct humor that made this tour both entertaining and a marvelously positive experience for me and my guests from Hawaii and Sweden! Kudos to Cambridge Historical Tours!

Gary was an amazing tour guide. Our oldest daughter even told him at the end that she loved how much she learned compared to her classes a few years back in fourth grade (she goes to good school, promise!). Everything was well-paced and we felt like we hit all the key spots. Gary’s knowledge of the history and context he offered was terrific. Highly recommend this tour. Other high points - he managed our group of 20 wonderfully, projecting well enough that he was always heard. And, we were always together and in the shade at almost every stop.
