Full description

Go whale watching off the coast of Boston on a comfortable, high-speed catamaran with maximized outdoor and indoor viewing capacity. Look out for humpback, finback, and minke whales, as well as white-sided dolphins on this adventure cruise.

Benefit from the best-guided experience, with professional researchers from the Whale Center of New England, the region's foremost authority on whale populations, on-hand to provide you with expert commentary.

After you find your crew at the dock, board the high-speed catamaran that offers the fastest, most comfortable way to explore the Atlantic.

Make the most of the 3 outside viewing decks, climate-controlled cabin space with cushioned seating, tables, state-of-the-art sound and video systems, and a galley offering snacks and beverages for purchase. Be sure to keep your eyes peeled for:

Humpback whales

The humpback’s name comes from the way its back arches out of the water when preparing for a deep dive. “Megaptera” is its true scientific name, which means “large-winged,” in reference to its long flippers.

Finback whales

Finbacks are second only to Blue Whales in overall size, measuring in at 45-70 feet in length and weighing approximately 40 tons as full-grown adults.

Minke whales

A sleek, small dolphin-like baleen whale, Minkes are the most abundant whale in the world today with a population numbering well over 1 million worldwide.

White-sided dolphins

Found only in the North Atlantic, in waters just south of New England and north to Norway, these playful mammals feed on single prey such as squid, unlike whales, who feast on large numbers of small fish.

Wonderful trip! We got super lucky and saw 3 different types of whales ! Minkies, hump backs and fin whales. Absolutely amazing ! The researchers on board give animated and interesting information throughout and are really focused on protecting the whales natural environment which I appreciated. 100% worth it, definitely bring a coat ! It gets windy.

It was a fantastic experience, brace yourself for a 1 hour journey out to sea though.. some of the pictures you see are a little misleading as you do not get “close” to the whales.. we were definately watching fins from a distance. I understand that this is now a safety precaution for the whales and a necessary step to help protect these beautiful creatures, but the advertising does suggest you get a lot closer to the whales than is actually the case. The guide does a really good job at talking you through everything you are seeing and what to look for - and manages to predict what direction to look in to always see the whales coming out of the water. The trip was around 4 hours in total, with 2 hours spent travelling to and from the spot.

It was the highlight of our vacation. We were lucky and saw three Humpback Whales. Our guide was Pleasant, informative and quick to point out where the Whales would be. Be sure to bring a jacket on board. When the boat passes beyond the Harbor, and picks up speed, it does get chilly even on a 85 degree day.
